Throw a Fabulous Fall Craft Party

It is always amazing how quickly the holidays seem to sneak up on us. Just when I finished up a wonderful wedding season, it's time to start planning holiday parties and putting up decorations. In the midst a busy holiday season, I know the importance of carving in some quality time with my ladies! And what is a better way to combine time with your squad AND prep your house for the fall than with a festive fall craft party!

In our generation of Pinterest, the possibilities for a craft party (or any party for that matter) are endless. I scoured its pages for ideas when planning a party for my gals last fall (see all the options they have?). I ended up choosing pumpkin centerpieces because A) pumpkins are SO fall, and B) I love centerpieces!

Craft parties do not require a lot of extra decor, but one thing that I love utilizing for any occasion is my mom’s collection of vintage dishes; it doesn’t cost anything, which is always a bonus, and they add such charm! Provide snacks and a little bubbly and you have the perfect craft party! For this party, my friend's husband graced us with one of his famous cheese and meat plates. AH delicious! You can also incorporate fresh flowers into your decor, which is one of my other favorite things to do! The photo below is from my dear friend and one of my favorite florists, Shannon, with The Olive and Poppy here in Denver. She makes these amazing fall pieces and sells them for your home! I am also obsessed with custom sugar cookies. I feel like I find any excuse I can to get them. My go to gal, Melissa with Sweet Treats by Melissa, made these adorable Fall cookies pictured below! Custom cookies are perfect for treats during a party, or for the party favors! I opted for providing an assortment of flowers, leaves, and sticks, as well as the craft foam and hot glue, and asking the girls to bring their own pumpkins and any additional items they would like to use. We all met at my parents' house because they have a big open dining room perfect for crafting. Your location should match your craft - make sure to have enough space! Luckily my ladies are crafting experts, so I did not have to provide too much direction, but you may need to do a full demo or have some parts of your craft already done for your guests to reference. I love craft parties because they are a fun way to spend time with friends while still being occupied with something to do.
